GURUPURNIMA CELEBRATION -With Gratitude to Our Gurus
Guru Purnima was celebrated with great devotion at Amrita Vidyalayam on 25th July 2026, highlighting the importance of honouring gurus who guide us through life. As a cherished tradition of the school, students paid tribute to their parents, recognising them as their first and most important gurus.
The event began with a traditional pooja, where children, parents and grand parents participated together, invoking blessings for wisdom and gratitude. The sacred ritual fostered a deep spiritual connection and reinforced respect for our rich cultural heritage.
Students expressed their love and appreciation through a heartfelt speech and a poem dedicated to their parents. A touching moment was when they performed the traditional act of touching their parents' feet, symbolising deep respect and humility. Parents were visibly moved by this beautiful gesture, which reinforced the values of gratitude and respect.
The celebration served as a reminder of the importance of preserving our traditions and values, fostering a sense of gratitude and love for those who guide, nurture, and inspire us. It was a memorable and enriching experience for everyone present.
